Paper or Plastic

Paper or Plastic

Making your veggies last longer can be as simple as how you store them. Many people come home from the grocery store and leave vegetables in their produce bags. But, did you know that green beans, peppers, asparagus, mushrooms, and broccoli should never be stored in plastic? This type of material doesn’t offer enough air circulation. Instead, use a paper bag, or wrap your produce in a paper towel and refrigerate. To extend their life even further, only wash your veggies when ready for use.
